Through a partnership between Arthrex, Clemson and The Hawkins Foundation, 43 Clemson students were selected following an application process to take part in the April ROPES externship. ROPES, Representative Orthopedic Procedure Experience Simulator, provides an instructional, hands-on experiential opportunity for students pursuing a future career as an Arthrex Technology Consultant. Led by Steadman Hawkins orthopedic surgeon Michael Kissenberth, MD, students observed and assisted with performing an array of orthopedic surgical procedures at the Hawkins Foundation Bio-Skills Lab.
